Increase of Golf courses in Nigeria. When Golf is mentioned in Nigeria, it is assumed that it is only other countries outside the continent that practices the sport. Most of its population of 170 million cannot afford to play a sport that is, in most countries around the world, the domain of the moneyed classes.       Golf is, however, a measure of a society's aspirations -- and one Nigerian province is aiming high with a development that could mark it as an international destination.       The governor of Cross River state said an up to date standard golf course is relevant in an economy such as ours which is growing rapidly       The vision from the governor was to create an international destination for Nigerians. NHF needs to improve the standard of Hockey games in Nigeria- Ndana-Baba. The Hockey sport in Nigeria is less patronized by the Nigerian teaming population of sports lovers, unlike the round-leather game.       The sport is challenged with the poor sport-support facilities, sponsorship, positive competitions, and low standard training of the athletes, coaches, and referees.       Head Coach of Kada Stars Hockey Club of Kaduna,  Mr. Abdullahi Ndana-Baba, has pleaded with the Nigeria Hockey Federation (NHF) to quickly improve the standard of hockey games in Nigeria. Team Nigeria Badminton has emerged grand winners of the 2019 African Games in Morocco.  Nigerian badminton team emerged grand winners with a total of eight (8) medals as the games come to a conclusion on the 30th of August 2019.       The Nigeria Badminton contingent finished at the peak of the log with two gold medals, three Silvers and Bronzes each to end the meet as the number one team in Africa.       Africa and Nigeria number one, Anuoluwapo Opeyori won gold after seeing off tough challenge from number one seed from Mauritius, Georges Julien Paul in straight sets, 21-16/21-17 to clinch the top medal in the men’s singles category. Anthony Joshua presents heavyweight title belts to Buhari Emai Nigeria-born British boxer Anthony Joshua has presented his belts to President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB) in London on Saturday. Hull KR's Mose Masoe has operation after suffering serious spinal injury Masoe operated on overnight after receiving oxygen on the pitch Mose Masoe sustained the injury two minutes into the pre-season trial match Mose Masoe had an operation on a serious spinal injury he suffered during Hull KR's friendly with Wakefield Trinity. Masoe was taken to Leeds General hospital during his side's 18-6 friendly defeat at Wakefield and underwent surgery late on Sunday night. The former St Helens front rower sustained the injury two minutes into the pre-season trial match and was given oxygen on the pitch. After a delay of around 10 minutes Masoe was carried off on a stretcher before being taken to the nearby hospital.
