Team Nigeria Badminton has emerged grand winners of the 2019 African Games in Morocco.

 Nigerian badminton team emerged grand winners with a total of eight (8) medals as the games come to a conclusion on the 30th of August 2019.
      The Nigeria Badminton contingent finished at the peak of the log with two gold medals, three Silvers and Bronzes each to end the meet as the number one team in Africa.
      Africa and Nigeria number one, Anuoluwapo Opeyori won gold after seeing off tough challenge from number one seed from Mauritius, Georges Julien Paul in straight sets, 21-16/21-17 to clinch the top medal in the men’s singles category.

Hull KR's Mose Masoe has operation after suffering serious spinal injury Masoe operated on overnight after receiving oxygen on the pitch Mose Masoe sustained the injury two minutes into the pre-season trial match Mose Masoe had an operation on a serious spinal injury he suffered during Hull KR's friendly with Wakefield Trinity. Masoe was taken to Leeds General hospital during his side's 18-6 friendly defeat at Wakefield and underwent surgery late on Sunday night. The former St Helens front rower sustained the injury two minutes into the pre-season trial match and was given oxygen on the pitch. After a delay of around 10 minutes Masoe was carried off on a stretcher before being taken to the nearby hospital.
